How children sign in, what a parent controls, and what our own staff can and cannot see.

Children do not have email addresses here

A parent creates one family account and adds each child to it. Every learner signs in with a Student ID and a PIN that the parent sets, not with an email address and a password of their own.

That means there is no inbox attached to a child on this platform: nothing to be reached through, nothing to be recovered, and nothing for a child to hand out.

What a parent controls

The parent chooses which programs each child is enrolled in, how many minutes a day they can spend, and which days of the week they learn. They can rename a learner, change those settings, and reset a forgotten PIN at any time from the family dashboard.

Credentials stay with the parent. Nobody needs to contact us to change a child’s PIN.

What our own staff can and cannot see

A child’s progress, points, streaks and screen time are visible on the parent dashboard, and the staff console deliberately cannot show them. Someone administering the platform can see that a family exists and which programs a learner is enrolled in. That is where it stops.

The people who help you with your account cannot browse your child’s results.

No advertising

There are no ads anywhere in the product, on any screen a child sees or a parent sees.

Asking us about your family's data

Write to us through the contact page from the email address on the family account. Never send a child’s PIN to us or to anyone else: we do not need it, and nobody from kidslearn will ask you for it.
